We're looking for a Senior Java Developer – Azure to join our team in Zurich, Switzerland, in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will design and build backend services and APIs while contributing to scalable cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performing software solutions that drive client success in complex enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
Design and develop robust, scalable and secure server-side applications
Build and maintain RESTful APIs for backend and frontend communication
Integrate backend systems with third-party services
Contribute to the design of scalable, resilient and fault-tolerant systems
Optimize application performance across services
Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions
Support deployment and operations on Microsoft Azure
Requirements
Solid experience as a Java developer in enterprise environments
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure
Working knowledge of Spring Boot
Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service
Exposure to Azure Service Bus or similar messaging systems
Strong understanding of API design and integration principles
Good grasp of performance optimization techniques
Solid understanding of clean code principles and software design patterns
Nice to have Additional Azure certifications
Experience with event-driven architectures
